AssociatesMD – A Disgraceful, Toxic Company That Puts Profit Over People
I worked at AssociatesMD for almost three years, and I can say with complete honesty that it was the most toxic, disheartening experience of my professional life. Despite my dedication and loyalty, I was removed from my office without any notice, warning, or explanation — a cruel and unprofessional way to treat someone who gave nearly three years of their life to the company.
Management is beyond dysfunctional — Sharee Bedesse, Alex, and Shannon Spalding were consistently disrespectful, unapproachable, and hostile. They talked down to me, yelled at me, and accused me of things I didn’t do, all while creating an environment filled with fear, toxicity, and manipulation. There was no support, no appreciation, and no humanity.
To make things worse, Gloria Puerta was a terrible coworker who clearly had no regard for her colleagues or the patients. Her attitude was careless, cold, and completely unprofessional — only making the work environment even more unbearable.
What was even more disturbing was what I witnessed behind the scenes. Sharee Bedesse would regularly dismiss serious patient concerns, and on more than one occasion, I saw her have patients removed from the practice simply because they couldn’t pay off hundreds of dollars in outstanding balances — balances they were never even informed about prior. There was no empathy, no communication — just immediate removal and rejection of care.
Even worse, Sharee would speak horribly about patients in front of staff, mocking them, criticizing them, and showing a complete lack of compassion. It was sickening to witness, and it made it clear to me that patients are nothing more than dollar signs to this company.
AssociatesMD is not a place of healing — it’s a cold, corporate machine that only cares about money, not people. If you’re considering becoming a patient: look elsewhere. If you’re thinking of working there: don’t do it. After almost three years of dedication, I left traumatized, disrespected, and heartbroken by what I saw and experienced.
Save yourself the trouble — this place is a disgrace to healthcare.
